Payment Policy
Payment Policy
Effective date: 30 July 2026
Last updated: 30 July 2026
This Payment Policy explains payment, verification, currency, and refund processing for purchases through www.janardhanasilk.com.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
Available payment methods are displayed at checkout and may vary by country, currency, device, order value, and provider availability.
They may include:
- credit or debit cards;
- Razorpay-supported bank, UPI, card, or wallet methods;
- PayPal;
- other digital wallets or accelerated checkout methods; and
- any additional method expressly offered at checkout.
Displaying a payment logo elsewhere on the Site does not guarantee that the method is available for every order. The checkout controls.
2. Payment Providers
Payments are processed through Shopify and one or more regulated or contracted payment providers. Depending on your selection, Razorpay, PayPal, a bank, card network, wallet, or another provider may:
- collect and process payment credentials;
- authenticate the transaction;
- perform fraud, sanctions, or risk screening;
- apply its own terms, exchange rate, and fees;
- place a temporary authorisation or hold; and
- decline or reverse a transaction.
We do not intentionally store complete card numbers or card security codes on our own systems. See our Privacy Policy and the provider’s notice, including the Razorpay Buyer Privacy Notice and PayPal India Privacy Statement.
3. Payment Timing and Order Confirmation
Payment is ordinarily collected or authorised when the order is submitted. An order is not finally accepted merely because a payment attempt or authorisation appears successful. Acceptance is governed by our Terms of Service.
Do not retry repeatedly if the checkout shows a pending transaction. First check the order-confirmation page, email, bank, and payment-provider status or contact us to avoid duplicate payment.
4. Authentication and Verification
You may be asked to complete an OTP, 3-D Secure step, UPI approval, PayPal login, identity check, address check, or other verification.
We may pause or cancel fulfilment while reasonably verifying:
- payment ownership or authorisation;
- billing and shipping details;
- a high-value or unusual order;
- suspected fraud or abuse; or
- compliance with law, card-network rules, or provider requirements.
We will not ask you to disclose a complete card number, card security code, banking password, UPI PIN, or payment OTP by email, chat, telephone, or WhatsApp. Share an OTP only inside the authorised checkout or with an authorised delivery agent when the OTP is specifically for delivery.
5. Currency and Conversion
The checkout shows the transaction currency and amount submitted to the payment provider. If your account is denominated in another currency:
- your provider chooses the conversion rate unless checkout states otherwise;
- an international transaction or conversion fee may apply;
- a refund can differ from the original local-currency amount because of rate movement or provider fees; and
- indicative currency displays elsewhere on the Site may differ from the final checkout amount.
We do not control a bank or provider’s exchange rate or fee.
6. Taxes, Duties, and Shipping
Product price, shipping, tax, discount, and any duty collected at checkout are itemised before payment where supported.
If international duties or taxes are not collected at checkout, the recipient must pay them to the carrier or authority as described in our Shipping and Delivery Policy.
7. Failed, Pending, Duplicate, or Reversed Payments
If payment fails, the order may not be created or fulfilled. A temporary bank authorisation can remain even after a failed checkout and normally releases according to the provider’s timetable.
For a suspected duplicate charge, send us:
- the order number, if any;
- transaction reference;
- amount and date; and
- a redacted statement or screenshot that does not reveal complete credentials.
We will check our records and coordinate with the provider. A charge can be reversed if a provider later determines that it was unauthorised, fraudulent, or non-compliant.
8. Discounts, Gift Cards, and Store Credit
Discounts, gift cards, and store credit are applied according to their disclosed terms. Unless required by law:
- unused promotional value is not paid in cash;
- discount value is allocated across eligible items for refund calculation;
- a refund for a gift-card purchase may return to the gift card; and
- refunding an item can reduce or remove a promotion whose eligibility depended on order value.
9. Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by our Returns, Refunds, Exchanges, and Cancellations Policy.
An approved refund is sent to the original payment method unless law requires or the provider permits another method. We ordinarily initiate it within 10 business days after approval, but the bank or provider can take additional time to post it.
Shipping, duties, provider fees, and currency differences are handled as stated in the Returns and Shipping policies.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Contact us first if you do not recognise a charge or believe an order is incorrect. We will try to investigate promptly.
You retain any lawful right to dispute a transaction. Knowingly filing a false or duplicate dispute, or retaining both the goods and a reversed payment without lawful basis, may constitute misuse. We may provide order, delivery, communication, and return records to the payment provider to respond to a dispute.
11. Invoices
We provide an order confirmation and invoice or tax invoice as applicable. Contact us promptly if the billing details are incorrect. Changes after issue may be restricted by tax law.
12. Contact
For payment help, email info@janardhanasilk.com with the order and transaction reference. Do not email complete payment credentials.
